i bought my tix the night before the show, front row for sale on ebay! my friend who wanted to go wasn't able to, so i flew solo. i made the 4-hour trek from central new york in what seemed like no time, checked into my hotel, took a quick nap, and did a little sightseeing on foot before going over to the theater. ottawa is a great city, i love the pedestrian mall and the canals!
anyway, i got my seat right up front and was worried that the place wasn't going to fill up -- it was almost 8 and it seemed like the theater was half empty! i'm glad i was wrong as i looked back after MLE took the stage and it seemed full! i couldn't believe that we could get right up front and there was no security! in Albany and Canandaigua, big burly security guards kept us back for most of the show! anyway, it was just amazing. MLE looked wonderful, sounded wonderful, and i was in heaven for the next 3 hours! i even managed to get one of fritz's drumsticks! this probably sounds bad, but i had heard that at one show (not on this tour) someone was able to get MLE to give them the studded leather cuff bracelet she was wearing that night -- the one she wore last night was the same one she wore at Canandaigua and i so desperately wanted it! i was ready to show her my wrist tattoo of her 'symbol' maybe as a little bargaining chip

to get the bracelet, but was too chicken when the time came.
during her song 'dance without sleeping' she came right over to my side of the stage and kneeled down! wooo! a few people put their hands out and she gently touched each one...was so cool!
it was just a fabulous, fabulous show. i recognized a few people from other shows -- OriginalAngie -- it was me who you sat next to before the show started and who switched places with your friend at the stage (don't know her name, sorry) at the beginning so you guys could be next to each other!
anyway it was great and i seriously want to try to hit at least one more show before MLE wraps in september!
cheers,
erin
