Okay, now this probably isn't going to be a start to finish review, seeing as my head is still spinning from the concert!
Let's start HOURS before... Me and my friend Brittany arrived to the hotel around 2, finding that is was directly across from the venue. At the hotel I changed from one Melissa shirt to another (I wore the green and purple new shirt). Then I left to go to the venue as soon as I could because on the way to the hotel I saw "Melissa's" tour bus sitting outside. Of course, Brittany and I hung out outside of it for a little bit to see if we would have any luck. (turns out at the end of the night garage doors open and her REAL tour bus comes out and leaves, HA).
We then went to go see if we could pick up our tickets even though it wasn't even 3 o'clock. Turns out we could and before the guy even pushed them towards us I was trying to see what row we were in. BB! 2nd ROW!!!! I was shocked and amazed! (when we finally went in that night we saw that the 1st row ended before our seats so we had no seats in front of us, so it was just like first row!)
We had dinner and came back, and thats when we saw Blair (spelling?) and Dan from the band and I got them to sign my Fearless Love CD cover! We later saw Christopher and got him to sign too!
Before the show I went to the merch table and bought 3 shirts and a poster (they didnt have the tampa date on them, but we were a late addition) lol. Yeah, $120 but melissa's worth it! And I only go once a year. ha
We took our seats and the lights went off. From that moment on i was at the stage...for the whole show! It was the most incredible expierence of my life! I sang the words to EVERY song! I left my bag of shirts under my 2nd row seat when i was at the stage.
During the opening We Are The Ones, she grabbed my hand during the "I feel you" part. It was amazing!
Then after a few songs she started talking about ROCKING and how that's her job. To ROCK. Are we ready to ROCK. Hmmm, she's saying ROCK a lot, just like I did when I requested "Your Little Secret" on the forum. Sure enough, the drum beat for YLS started. I turned to my friend Brittany and screamed THIS IS THE SONG I REQUESTED!!!
Melissa had done it, she read my post and played the song I asked for

I'll admit it, I LOVE the song as a whole, but part of the reason I requested YLS was to hear that SCREAM in person. And OMG, didn't disappoint at all!
Then after Come To My Window they brought out the white 6 string guitar. You know what that means! TO BE LOVED, which I also requested in the same thread! SHE READ IT!!! (and may be reading this, LOVE YOU!)
Just as epic as I thought it would be, thank you for making this night the best night of my life!
AND THE VERSION OF BRAVE AND CRAZY?!? CRAZY COOL!
I was jumping the whole time for Drag Me Away, lol. That and Nervous rocked my socks off, just like expected!
Around this time I THOUGHT melissa was going to give a pick away. She went close to the audience so I thought maybe that she would give one away and just get a new one. I reached up for it and she looked at me and laughed and said something like A LITTLE BIT LATER or IN A LITTLE BIT! Haha
Sure enough after Like The Way I Do she walked right over to me and HANDED ME THE PICK! (and the collection begins!) hahaha
She told us about throwing the opening pitch for the Tampa Rays game last night (she threw a strike!!!) And when she came out for Gently We Row she was wearing her ETHERIDGE Tampa Rays jersey! It was great.
And of course during this song she touched my hand again…. 3RD TIME!
BEST PARTS OF THE NIGHT:
Melissa handing me her pick!

Getting both of my requests played!
The constant eye contact…. I was signing along and standing at the stage the WHOLE time. Quite often you could see me jumping and dancing…lol.
At the end of TO BE LOVED I said thank you (hoping she would see it was me who requested it…she may have already known…how many other 19 year old boys are there). She smiled and bowed her head in a your welcome kind of way 

I did place my camera on a weird part of the stage and it fell through to the pit wayyyy down below and I told a guy after the show about who was standing at the stage the whole time. He told me to talk to costumer service about it (they got it back!). But the bummer of the night….that bag I left under my seat with 3 shirts and my poster….GONE! Stolen from row 2. So after the concert I went back to the merch store and bought all of the $120 items again. It was worth it.
If that’s what I had to go through to be at the stage the whole time, get the pick, my two songs played, touch MLE 3 times, meet some of the band…. It was worth it.
And extra goodie, when I told the guy I talked to about my camera about my bag of stuff being stolen, he said maybe this will make it up and handed me a set list! I don’t think it was onstage, but he may have had it cause he works there by the stage, but it was still perfect.
Me and Brittany went straight to all the tattoo places after the show with the pick trying to get it on me tonight but the only place that was still open was closing. They said it would be hard to do because it was so small, but im gonna come up with something. I am getting that pick on me to represent my love for MLE and how great tonight was! Any day now! My first tat!
I also met some amazing people from the board!!! Hey to all of you!

THANK YOU MELISSA FOR MAKING TONIGHT THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE SO FAR…AND IT PROBABLY WILL BE FOR A LONG LONG TIME!

Jay..I was there too..drove in from Jax area as well. We may have met but not known it. I have short dark hair with a few blonde streaks in the front. I was there in brown pants and brown tank with my wife who I love more than anything else in the world. I tried to pass a print of one of my recent paintings to melissa with a short message about how her influence has changed my life as well. I don't know if she ever got it but hopefully the intention of the gift was received.
On another note, I'm so sorry you had your merchandise stolen. All I can say about whoever took your stuff is.. kharma can be a bitch

It amazes me every time I go to a show and am so filled with the whole joy and peace thing and yet there are "fans" who can be so selfish they only take. It heartens me to read your posts and hear how humble and grateful you are. There is an important lesson in that for whoever is willing to hear it. I have been to many concerts over the last several years and thought this was probably the best I have ever seen her. The energy transferred was SO powerful! I'm eternally grateful we were there to share in it as well. It was a magical night indeed!

Isn't it great that Melissa does take note and respond to her fans....that's what sets her aside from other celebrities IMO. That's why we love her so much and are so loyal. Well, that and the music of course! 8-)

Just a quick update: I was emailed today and one of the ladies next to me mistakenly took my bag when she left. So I am going to get all my stuff back (thank you!!!) but I did already buy everything again.
So if anybody needs a medium black, grey, and blue shirt from the merch table, I can sell them on here. And i have another poster as well. I'll put up pics of them soon if anybody who cant make a concert wants a shirt.

Ok, really for her yearbook lol but, I had it!! One of the girls I was in HS band with (who was named after Melissa) her mother went to HS with Melissa and she gave me her yearbook years ago. I brought it last night, held it up and she straight up stopped to take it from me! She showed her pictures to all her band members and told me how cool that was when she brought it back! So, Melissa stopping a concert to talk to me can now be crossed off my "In your dreams" list = ) It was just THE COOLEST! I could completely feel every bone in my body shaking! Every show of her's I've ever seen has been beyond words but, last night will always be very special! If anyone has pictures or video from last night please please share, I completely brought all of my camera equipment so excited to take some awesome pictures only to realize I left my battery pack at home :roll:

I completely agree. Just like with me in Atlanta, I did exactly what Jay did and put 2 requests on here. I thought I might get lucky and get Heaven On Earth, but I got HOE and Ruins. I was completely shocked and it was an amazing feeling for me. Melissa is the best period. She listens to her fans and gives them what they want. Jay, I think I am just as happy as you are lol I know what a rush it is to have your songs played. I hope you never forget this moment.

The only disappointment I found was that at the merchandise table they didnt tell us Tampa wasnt on the shirt...Bummer....didn't realize it until I got home..would have gotten something different.

I have a pic of Jay at the stage...Melissa totally consumed Him.....I have notice She picks certain ones out of the audience...She stayed to the center and Her right most of concert......But those of us on the left still enjoyed it.

I noticed She did not talk as much as I've heard Her do in previous concerts...alot more singing.......

All in all a Rockass Concert!!!!!

Jay - so glad to hear that the your missing items were just a mix up. Puts a little bit of faith back in humanity for me.

This was my first Melissa concert, although I have been a fan for a while. It's nice that it was in a smaller venue so it was a much more intimate show. I gotta tell ya, I'm kicking myself for not going in the past. I am one of those people who observes the "music" side of a concert, more than one who sings along and dances (not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not me). But I found myself getting more involved in this show than I ever had with any other in my life....and I've been to a LOT of concerts in my time. It was hard not to "feel" the energy and power coming from the stage....for almost 3 hours. That is just unheard of anymore. Just saw Fleetwood Mac last summer and they only played for about 2 1/2. I love the fact that she just cranked out one song after another. Her musical talent is something that you can tell is part of her...mind, body, and soul. There are not too many musicians out there like that these days.

My only disappointment, is that not more people knew the new music....which in my mind is some of her best stuff yet!!! I was in row F, so I was basically at the back of the premium seats and when she started some of the new songs alot of people would sit down because they didn't know the music. I get that Indiana starts out a little slow, but that song FREAKIN' ROCKS!!!

Anyway, that's my two cents worth. Hope all that attended had a great time, and I will definitely see her everytime she comes back to the area.

I'm one of the folks who sings and dances the whole night at a Melissa show. In Atlanta, everyone stayed up for the whole show, in Nashville alot of folks sat down during the slower songs. I was up the whole time singing. The new material is FANTASTIC live. So if you were sitting behind me in Nashville, sorry!

I saw you Jay at the show, I was behind you in the 3rd row. I saw you say to your friend that Melissa's playing your request for YLS. You looked like you had a fun time! So my first thought for the night was where are all the fans? It seems like there were more people on her last tour, and this being the only show in FL this time, I thought it would be packed. I was happy with my 3rd row seats. It seems I've moved up a row in a year. When Melissa came on, she's quite the vision. I've never seen her look better. I'm so glad she's back to looking like a rock star, and her hair's back! She seems peaceful, and this was my favorite show to date, and my fav album. She rocked it like I've never seen, and has her sexy back now that's she's single. What happened to all the signs? I made a poster that said You are pure delight after my fav song on album, Heaven On Earth,(which she didn't play) and was the only one with one. I waited for the perfect moment because the house lights never went on for her to see, so I waited til she was on my side to hold it up. She squinted at first, and after reading it, thanked me so graciously and I blew her a kiss. That kind of moment/connection is priceless. A lot of people sat down, but finally rushed the stage during Nervous. A perfect show. There was only one girl who finally got taken out. She wouldn't leave Melissa alone. She wanted her to sign a picture and then threw a hat at her feet and kept pointing at it. Melissa just kept singing. Melissa kept talking about her Tampa Ray pitch and came out in her jersey with Etheridge on the back at end of the show.

Chastain, I was disappointed too with the crowd in Tampa. How can you sit during a show??? Maybe if you're just physically incapable, ok..but otherwise? theres no excuse! That energy flow is give and take..it doesnt JUST come from the stage. I think its up to the fans to give back as much as we receive. Thats what makes it so magical (in my opinion). And yes, I saw that whole bit with the hat too. Thats part of what I was talking about in my earlier post as well. I can TOTALLY understand getting carried away to a point and REALLY wanting an autograph or something, but theres no excuse for that kind of rude behavior. I saw too much of it. Ripping the set list off the stage..trying to keep the cap off her water bottle. Is that the message we, as fans, want to send out? I think its the antithesis of Melissa's whole message.
I also REALLY understand about wanting a personal connection with her. Sometimes, though maybe its about the intention yknow? That energy build up and transfer..that power..thats what I think its all about. (Well, beside the obvious adoration of music and artist). Send out the positive intention and I think she gets that. When you think about how amazing THAT is..well an autograph or some personal recognition doesn't even come close. And sorry if I come off as preachy... thats not my intention either. I was just embarrassed by some of the rude behavior I saw from fans both in Atlanta and Tampa. And no, that doesn't mean don't carry in signs or request songs. I don't think she minds that..in fact, yes, its kinda cool

Just as long as fans aren't rude, demanding, or stealing stuff that doesn't belong to you (intentionally). We can do better.

I agree, some fans act like Melissa owes us something. She gives more than any performer I've ever seen, and we have to respect that line. I just stood there quietly and waited for her to look my way, and she always likes interaction with her fans. She stood behind her mic more this tour, where in the past she had a headset. That lady was clearly drunk, and why spend all that $ to not remember the amazing MLE?

One show just wasn't enough for me...hope she'll be doing more shows on Fearless tour in FL next year...I saw a red flat at merchandise table that had wings on it for $15 that I wish I got now. If anyone going to a show is willing to get one for me, I'll send the $. Just pm me, thanks.

I was thinking the same thing, I would love to have that poster.If someone is willing to pick one up for me Ill gladly send the money.

What a GREAT story - good for you!! I once gave Jackson Browne a copy of his graduation year high school yearbook, to show him what he had written to its original owner - 42 years prior. He was much appreciative!! Maybe next tour you can have Melissa sign it - perhaps she could write "it was great meeting your daughter's friend Jacquejax in 2011"!! Then again, that would probably perplex your heirs a couple of generations down the line, when they're cleaning out the attic!!

Its this poster and Im fortunate I bought one. At the counter the guy showed me there was just a handful in Brunswick!! I framed it on my wall!!

It was cool for Jackie! She was the fan who had the year book. I just happend to catch it on video and talked to her after the show. Jackie has behind me to the left I think. I was at the stage

I hope too that Jackie can get her book signed. I know she tried to that night.
