Okay, here goes:
Let me start of by saying that I don't usually write reviews and that although this marks my 10th year of going to Melissa concerts, I'm not a hardcore fan.
We had great seats in row H (about 5-6 rows back) on the left side of the stage. Even though the show was sold out there were many empty seats at the beginning of the show. I really don't understand that. You pay good money to see someone perform, so show some respect to the other fans and the artist by showing up on time. Anyway, off of my soapbox and back to the review ...
The show started with some kind of African tribal music and the bandmembers making their way to the stage through the aisles wearing lighted masks. Melissa followed right behind them, wearing glow in the dark gloves and taking time to touch hands with and place her palms on the heads of fans lining the aisles, all the while chanting about Love, Peace and Change. I'm almost afraid to say it, but it felt like we'd unwittingly become part of a religious cleansing ceremony.
That being said, I don't think the crowd could have gotten anymore riled up if the Pope himself had gone around and sprinkled them with holy water.

She left many people speechless, quivering, shaking and/or babbeling after having been "blessed" by her.
The songs were a nice mixture of old and new. I didn't write down the setlist, but I found this online and it sounds right:
We Are The Ones
Fearless Love
Miss California
If I Only Wanted To
Yes I Am
Company
I Want To Come Over
The Wanting of You
Nowhere To Go
Come To My Window
To Be Loved
No Souvenirs
Indiana
I Run For Life
Drag Me Away
Nervous
I'm The Only One
Bring Me Some Water
Like the Way I Do
Encore:
Gently We Row
She also played a snippet of Fever by Elvis Presley during one of the songs, then sheepishly admitted that she didn't know the rest of the lyrics haha. It was very cute!
Personally I thought the sound quality wasn't the best. Melissa's voice almost got drowned out during some of the guitar parts. I wish they had turned up her mic some. You could tell during the quieter songs that the accoustics were awesome though! Melissa is such an effortless singer.
A few times Melissa spoke of "loving yourself," "lessons learned" and things like that. She still had great energy and lots of smiles, but we both felt that at times she was struggling a bit to not become emotional. She'd just take a few seconds and go right back into it though. She was bound and determined to make sure everyone had a hell of a night, but I missed some of the effortless banter that usually happens during her shows. It's amazing though how much of herself she gives to her fans. I felt sad seeing her sing some of those songs and watching the emotions play across her face, but she definitely used them to make her songs better. I have more respect for her as an artist now than I did before.
It's hard for me to pick any one song as my favorite, but I was thrilled that she played Company, Indiana and The Wanting of You of the new album. I love everything about those songs.
I think this is the first time I heard No Souvenirs live and I was just blown away. The more I listen to that song, the more it speaks to me and hearing it live was just amazing!
Nowhere To Go was interesting, because she sang "Dance With Me Forever" at one point. Did anyone else notice that? It was just the one line. I was waiting for her to switch over to that song, but after a few seconds she kept going with Nowhere to Go.
Of course, she also played her top hits LTWID and I'm The Only One. I don't ever get tired of hearing those.
She ended the night with Gently We Row. I understand why she chose it, but I was ready to rock hard.
Overall, it was one of my least favorite Melissa concert, but still a great time!
