Just got back from the attorney's...I signed my will & mom & dad signed their trust forms. It's pretty awesome to see Amy's name pop up over & over in all of these as a trustee/in line to get all of this...she is a member of our family...not only in love, but now legally in a few ways.

We leave Sunday at 6:00 am to party with the Mouse! Image

Have a wonderful weekend, porchers!

Bitey's kitties are Russian Blues....very beautiful, lush coats not the same as DSH's ... I love Russian Blues but you don't see them in my area often. He's such a fluff ball! My daughter is in L  VE!

He doesn't have a name yet but someone just suggested a really good one....I'm going to pass it along to the family

Speaking of kitties, I saw the smallest kitty I have ever seen a few weeks ago. This is a kitty that we had in the shelter recently. She came in with her two siblings, they were only days old. The siblings died shortly after arrival and this little baby girl died the day after I took this picture. Sheltering sucks and I dream of a day when shelters are no longer required because society stops abusing and neglecting and abandoning animals.

Are you kidding? :twitchshocked: It is MORE than a teeny bit true... I actually got a pm from a boardie who told me that if I wanted to be "friends" with a certain other boardie, she would not be my "friend". :taz: I thought that kind of shit ended in high school; boy was I wrong! :spider: (Thanks for posting that Dis; tff! )

Meanwhile, Janet, Cole is beautiful... and the play on words is very cute. :cat:

Oh C btw how is the foot? Have not asked in a while... whatever the bad family news was this is for you: :rose:

So Just how did the game go? How cold was it burrrrrr? :wink santa:

Meanwhile, I cannot understand cruelty at all. Period. :bawling:

On a lighter note, I think that I may go see This Is It tomorrow... I am bringing a BOX of Kleenex but my friend Deborah has been after me and she is going to burn a cd of his greatest hits for me so I kind of promised her I would go... and I am sure that I will be glad that I did. :rose:

Finally, it is about 70something degrees here and I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER! I may get to break out some long sleeved shirts here soon... and God knows I have a few Bruce and MLE ones to choose from... YAY!!! :clapping:

I do believe life is looking up these days. :wheee!: I hope it is for all of you Porchers too. :group hug:

I appreciate Dis's request for no drama. I cannot believe I am being criticized by doing what I felt was the best solution, and the most honorable one. TR, What you are referring to took place a very long time ago, and on principle I felt uncomfortable accepting assistance from someone that I did know very well, nor did I know her friend's intentions, but I knew that her friend had been very vocal about trashing me on the board. That is literally the only way for me to explain why I did not accept that help.

Curious though... TR...why does this matter to you? With all of the compaints tonight about someone resurrecting a dead thread and the things said about certain folks, was it really necessary to make a comment like this? I don't recall you even being around all this so why do you care? The person that made the offer... at the time I did know who they were and I knew who associated with them... and that person took such pleasure in insulting and offending me I thought I did not feel comfortable accepting the other person's offer.

I do feel there is a difference in deciding to not let someone tell me who I can be friends with anyone else, and my making a decision that I did not want to accept help from someone who I was told also trashed me on other boards. To me that would be rude to say "oh talk trash about me and I will take your money." That is just not right. I was very lucky to receive assistance from people who care about me... that is really all that is important about the story. Your point in no way compares to someone telling me that they would not want to be friends with someone I was friends with. That is very manipulative. I was just keeping my boundaries straight and was uncomfortable with the thought of someone who said all sorts of nasty stuff then turning around and complaining I took her friend's money. The whole point of the event was for those who felt comfortable and were interesting in doing so... I did not feel right accepting that offer; regardless of exactly who offered it and why.

Wasn't there a thread restarted tonight that have folks annoyed about it being brought back up? My initial post was agreeing about folks dictating who I can and cannot speak to, if I want to remain someone's friend. I thought I had the right to decide to not follow her request. I am not sure how this other situation is even comparable.

This thread is supposed to be drama free... if you have any more questions I would appreciate it if you sent me a pm. I try to avoid these kinds of things on threads, especially this Happy Porcher Thread. Things are usually very kind and I have never run into someone making that comment.

I look forward to ansering any questions if you STILL do not understand the situation.

So I just got back from a drag show and oh -- my -- gawd! There was this one queen that performed and he/she wore a string bikini better than most straight, model-like women do. :twitchshocked: My mouth dropped like it had never dropped before. Oh -- mygawd! I could have sworn he was a she - but no. WOW! This bar was in Lincoln, and my first time there (f.y.i. no sticky seats-yay!) and it was pretty dead during the game but after the game got out  haha! It was just a few blocks from the stadium and let me tell you -- there was some eye candy! But my friend(wing-girl) almost got into a fight with some girl so we had to leave. boo. It was a nice time though. I tell you, those drag queens sure are a grand fusion of illusion - they could almost turn me straight ----- :? naaaa, no way!

G'NIGHT!! :D

I called you on being a hypocrite. Nothing more. No reason to pm you about anything since you bring all of them to the board whether they are private or not. You just went out of your way to post that someone told you "in private" that they wouldn't be your friend 'because' of someone you were friends with. (I am sure that who ever it was that sent you the pm is thrilled to see you brought it to this board in the first place) you referred to that as "high school". Well in essence you did the same, at a time you were asking people over and over again for money. Thats all, wasn't trying to create "Drama" on a message board.

ThunderRoad wrote:I called you on being a hypocrite.

Silent Legacy/Born 2 RN wrote:I appreciate Dis's request for no drama.

Heck if I know. There was this other guy there that would jump up and land on the floor doing the splits -- wow! Now, I'm no guy - at least not the last time I checked - but that looks like it might hurt a bit. This may not be such a good day; I'm up early and I'm a bit hung over. :sicktongue:

The best thing for a hangover is a soft sofa, a big blanket, a good movie, and Big Mac and a huge chocolate milk on ice.

Janet great name for the kitten. :D

Crusin, sorry you had bad news. Hope things improve.

Had an open house today, hate getting ready for them, cage the cat, take her litter, food and bed with us..... she said there were 3 people that were really interested and will be coming back....

Beautiful day today, went to visit 3 of the grandkids and we sat outside on the swing. :D

Have a good week.

" A grand fusion of illusion." I like that. It sounds like you had quite a good time; I hope the hangover is better. :sicktongue:

Dis, thank you. More on that below.

Just, thank you too. I really do not see the need to discuss the topic anymore... if someone has questions about something that took place two years ago, I am willing to answer them in pm. And when I noted that someone pm'd me saying that they did not want me to be friends with someone else, in no way did I give ANY indication as to who that person was... THAT would have been a violation of the whole concept of the pm. So, the word hypocrisy apparently has different meanings for different people. Here on the porch I have always enjoyed just hanging out and supporting each other... no questions asked... no need to ask in the first place. :group hug: Except one thing: Just, please don't say you are trying to KILL yourself dirtbiking lol... who on earth will fill us with tales of hilarity in that great world of the Office of the Post? Well, yes, there is USFE but she does not come around here as often (Hint hint) and for some reason she does not end up with the wacky stories that fill these pages... so, please be careful! :rose:

Meanwhile, the weather here has been delightful! I am going to stretch what I can get out of every breeze... I sure hope Angel is having the same lovely temps. Angel, will you ever visit the Porch again?

I answered an ad on Craigslist for something that could be quite interesting. My weird throat thing is over so I get to go back to the hospital and volunteer again... yippee! Finally, after almost three years, it looks like things are looking up... 2009 is coming to a much better end than it began... whoo whoo hoo! :wheee!:

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and enjoyed great weather,

Good night,

Sue :peace:
